Friction Stir Welding (FSW)

Friction Stir Welding is a method used for joining non-ferrous metals with low melting temperatures and mixed metal compounds. This method is as follows:

Thanks to a rotating pin in friction stir welding, this is applied between the contact surfaces of the workpieces.

By means of friction temperature, the materials are plastically welded with each other. By means of FSW, the process of combining raw materials that are very difficult to weld or various types of raw materials with each other is carried out. For example, for magnesium, copper, aluminum, Steel, or Titan, is provided to combine.

Application Areas

Friction stir welding can be applied in different areas. Friction mixing welding applies to such a wide range of areas; It can be applied in the aviation industry, the electronics industry, and the automobile industry.

What Are the Benefits of Friction Stir Welding?

1- It is economical.

Friction Stir welding provides material savings through part optimization. It supports the economical creation of complex existing 3D geometry forms, thus eliminating the need for consumable material requirements such as shielding gas.

2- It provides advantages with its superior welding quality.

By means of friction stir welding, it is possible to combine different materials. It does not allow welding faults, in case of comparison, there is less heat input, and it provides advantages with high seam strength.

3- It is environmentally friendly.

ARYASIS company defends green technology by providing low energy consumption in friction stir welding service.

Friction Stir Welding approval is available for thicknesses of 4, 6, 8 mm.
